If you enjoy those soft, delicate notes found in coffee, then the Chemex would be your type of coffee! We’ve created a brief and simple list of brewing tips to help get you started:
Use a medium – course grind.
Fold a filter paper into a cone shape, insert into the Chemex and then dampen the filter with warm water to rinse and preheat the Chemex.
Do your research and experiment, but a good start for the Chemex is 25g coffee / 400g water.
Make sure your water is roughly 93 degrees.
Pour a small amount of water over the coffee grounds and wait about 30 seconds for them to ‘bloom’.
Slowly pour the water over the grounds while keeping the water level well below the top of the Chemex.
Slowly pour the remaining water over the grounds, using a circular motion.
Remove the filter and enjoy your brew!
